  • Step by step instructions on:
    • Setting up a Wordpress blog and choosing a good template
    • Creating a GREAT About Me page
    • Adding RSS feeds to your blog
    • Adding a newsletter sign-up to your blog
  • HOMEWORK: Set up a Wordpress Blog for your business, if you decide to create a blog.  Send me a link to your blog when it’s complete.

  • How a great Facebook profile can enhance your relationships with friends and family, and enable you to find more prospects for your business.
  • Step by step instructions on:
    • Creating a killer profile
    • How to engage with people and find friends
    • Creating a group for your customers
  • HOMEWORK: Set up your Facebook profile and customer group.  Join course participant private group. Send me a friend request.

Module 5: Twitter

  • What is Twitter, and why is it valuable?
  • Before you Tweet: Setting up your Twitter profile thoughtfully
  • Learning the Twitter unspoken rules (good resources)
  • How to find friends on Twitter.
  • Who you should DEFINITELY be following on Twitter.
  • What to “tweet” about on Twitter.
  • How to engage in Twitter without losing an entire day.
  • How to convert Twitter relationships into leads for your business.
  • HOMEWORK: Create a Twitter profile, add recommended friends, and watch/learn for a week while reading the recommended Twitter readings we provide.  Week 2, begin to tweet by answering questions, sharing info, building relationships.  Nothing about your biz!  Build relationships first.

Module 7: LinkedIn & Online Groups

  • What is LinkedIn and how can it help my business?
    • Creating a solid business profile
    • Finding contacts
    • Writing/receiving business recommendations
    • Finding serious-minded business builders/possible recruits
    • Making good business contacts to answer questions related to running a biz
    • Joining groups where you can learn from others, while also answering questions and sharing content (post your blog content to your LinkedIn groups)
      • Position yourself as an expert in your niche (i.e. home decorating, wine selection, skin care, etc.)
  • Online Groups
    • Using online groups related to your own interests, as well as the interests of your customers, to build additional contacts
    • Where to find groups (Yahoo!, LinkedIn, Mommy sites, etc.)
    • How to engage in online forums in a meaningful way that builds relationships and gives value
    • How to convert relationships built in forums to prospects for your business
  • HOMEWORK: Create a profile on LinkedIn, and join some groups.  Participate in the discussion!  Request a connection with me on LinkedIn

Module 8: Online Parties

  • Online parties are a supplement to in-person parties, not a replacement
  • They are a way to generate income on evenings that you can’t get out to do live parties
  • Step by step setting up an online party:
    • Getting people to come from your warm list
    • Specials for guests with a time limit
    • Securing a chat room
    • Typing up your script
    • Choosing games to play to engage your guests, that cause them to interact with your site
    • Payment options
